Elgin Chamber of Commerce

The Elgin Chamber of Commerce (hereafter Chamber) is a voluntary business organization dedicated to improving business and building a better community. The Chamber is people. There is a place for everyone who shares the desire to improve the community and business. The Chamber helps people to accomplish together what no one person could. The strength of the Chamber lies in attracting the greatest number of individuals and firms into the membership, thus creating a pool of resources, natural and human, from which ideas, energy, and finances can be drawn.

The Elgin Chamber of Commerce began on November 27, 1968. When you join the Chamber, you are part of a vibrant and prosperous community of creative entrepreneurs, forward-thinking innovators, and visionary business leaders. In today’s unique economic times, businesses that take advantage of the Chamber’s tools, resources, and expansive network, find themselves better positioned to seize the opportunities in front of them, opportunities they may not have realized existed. The Chamber also promotes an economic climate that strengthens the competitiveness of local businesses and benefits the citizens of Elgin.

Meetings are on the second Tuesday of each month. Meetings start at noon with lunch available at 11:45. The meetings are business-like and informative, and feature a wide variety of speakers on issues of importance to businesses. We also discuss various ways of promoting the Elgin area.
