Parks

Elgin maintains four parks for everyone’s enjoyment.

Municipal Park

on A Street, has one softball diamond and two baseball diamonds. It is also utilized by little league teams starting with 5 year old t-ball teams. There are a total of three individual fields with bleacher seating, covered dugouts and electronic scoreboards. This park also has soccer fields, little league football field, a pavilion, and a concession area with restrooms. This is a well lighted and maintained complex.

Martin Field

at 2nd and J Street has a large baseball diamond. It is mainly used by older high school baseball teams and independent softball leagues. This park has bleacher seating, covered dugouts, electronic scoreboard, concession area and restrooms.

Kiddy Park

is located at the corner of 4th Place and Keeney Road. It has swings, slides, monkey bars, a large play structure, a covered picnic table area, and of course, a water fountain for when the kids get thirsty. This park is fenced for your child’s safety.

Osborne Park

a 10 acre park, located at the intersection of Keeney and Welch Road, offers walking trails, a tennis court, swings, a jungle gym, a pavilion, restrooms, picnic tables, and benches. There is also a Veteran’s Memorial and “Friends of Osborne Park” section. Future plans include an outdoor basketball court and an amphitheater.
